Alison Thompson

5A Teacher

Thompson has taught for 8 years in the UK as a Maths Specialist, and for 3 years in Yangon. In Yangon she has taught across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 as the Maths Teacher for Middle School, a Year 5 teacher and Primary Maths coordinator. 

Qualifications

BA (Hons) Geography, University of Birmingham; Mathematics Enhancement Course, Liverpool Hope University; PGCE Secondary Mathematics Education, Liverpool Hope University; Teaching Advanced Level Mathematics PGCE, London South Bank University.


About

Miss Thompson has taught for 8 years in the UK as a Maths Specialist, and for 3 years in Yangon. In Yangon she has taught across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 as the Maths Teacher for Middle School, a Year 5 teacher and Primary Maths coordinator. 


She enjoys teaching STEM, developing students imagination, problem solving and team work skills and she hopes to pass this passion on to her students. 


In her spare time she enjoys exploring Yangon, Myanmar and the World. She loves photography, baking and swimming.
