About

Miss Hassett is going into her fourth year at BSY and continuing into her second year of teaching a Year 4 class; having also previously taught Years 1 and 2. After obtaining her PGCE from the University of East London in 2013, Aoife remained teaching in London for one year before moving to Yangon.

She is up to date with the most current pedagogical approaches and theories, as well as recent British Curriculum changes.

Aoife has a passion for the environment and ran the Eco Council and Gardening Club in her previous teaching position, as well as the helping to establish recycling systems at BSY. She is also enthusiastic about student leadership and has raised the profile of the school council over the past academic year, something that she will continue to grow, with her leadership role as Pastoral and Personal Development Leader.

In her free time, Aoife enjoys Yoga, visiting Art Galleries and trekking in Myanmar.
