Ellen's Fencing Story

14 September 2018

We received a wonderful e-mail about Ellen in Grade 5 who entered and won a fencing competition during the summer. Their family were so proud, as are we, so we asked her to write about her ambitious experience, so here it is…

  • Ellen?????Ellen's Fencing Story

Dear all,

I’m Ellen Zhu, from Grade 5 Willow Class. I would like to share with you my story about Fencing (Epee). I started my fencing training in 2016. I have a great coach and a great team. We won many championships together. I learned a lot from Fencing; not only winning all the trophies, but how to get them. I spent over 10 hours in practice every week, and every time, my coach will not stop the practice until I can do all the actions correctly. I also learned a lot from the match itself. I know the victory is not easily won. I got a fever in Haikou Fencing League Match, but I still have to go to the lane because my team needs me.

So fencing practice made me stronger, more confident, and more ambitious. I love to share with you more of my victories in the coming future!
