Jenny Yan's Message - 01/02/2019

Today I would like to share with you our activities during the secondary enrichment week. We worked hard to enable our students to see beyond the classroom while building up close relationship with the community. They were asked to study cutting-edge technologies to solve practical problems in campus life. I was delighted to see students find their learning interests and develop their own learning achievements through the colorful activities. Through the communications and demonstrations, they also improved their social skills.
Our Grade 6 students visited the Shanghai Natural History Museum this week. Combining the taxonomic knowledge learned at their science class, they knew more about colorful life and appreciated the diversity of different lives from the teachers of the museum.

Grade 7-9 students were delighted to welcome the 2nd NACIS STEAM Marathon (NSM). Please click here to view the video.

Grade 10-12 students reviewed their CAS activities and successfully held the CAS Fair. They shared their experience and introduced the philosophy to Grade 5-9 students.

During the Chinese New Year Celebration, our students from every grade and form were actively devoted into these festive activities. For example, they adorned the classrooms with ‘Fu’ (lucky) characters, Spring Festival couplets handwritten by themselves, paper-cut for window decoration, lanterns, and the Year of the Pig themed paintings. The students participated in the Chinese traditional games and competition, including Shuttlecock Kicking, Long Rope Jumping and so on.

To end up, I would like to thank you for your understanding and support during the whole semester. I hope you make academic progress and wish you and your family a happy and healthy new year!
