IB CAS Trips

The “Why We Design” exhibit at Power Station of Art challenged students to explore “design thinking” which is relevant for all subjects, community involvement and personal development. Students explored the fundamentals of design and how research is integral to the design process. They used critical thinking to consider 'What is "good" design?' and investigated how design be a powerful tool in communication.

The G11 Marketing trip to VOL Group office introduced the marketing approaches for various restaurant clients of VOL. Students also learned how the company achieves success through their creative marketing strategies. There were also talks by VOL staff about public relations, use of KOL’s, graphic design and photography development, brand development, social media marketing and how to develop a business. The students learned a lot about how business works in real-life, and more importantly, how to do it successfully. Students also enjoyed a lunch hosted by VOL at The CUT, one of the restaurants represented by the group.
