The First Grade 12 Graduates of NACIS Scored Well in the IBDP Examination

This year, our first ever Grade 12 graduating class has achieved excellent IB results. This achievement was possible with the strong support of their families and the guidance and support of our highly experienced and dedicated team of IB instructors. The International Baccalaureate is a two-year course undertaken by students in Grade 11 and 12 at NACIS Shanghai.

The rigorous academic programme provides students with the perfect grounding for future success at university, and is highly regarded by top universities around the world. NACIS has a non-selective IB programme and the knowledgeable teaching staff focus on giving every student the personalised support and guidance to achieve first-rate results in this challenging and rigorous programme so that all students are able to enter their ideal university.

These graduates joined NACIS when the school first opened in 2016 and are the first group of students to complete the IB Diploma Programme at NACIS Shanghai.

The first Grade 12 graduates of NACIS scored well in the IBDP

• 100% IB bilingual diploma pass rate

• Average IB Diploma score of 33, in line with the NAE global average, and higher than the world average of 29.8

• Successful completion of TOK and EE components in English language

Our students this year elected to complete their TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and EE (Extended Essay) components in English language, and all successfully passed these Core components. All of our students also received the Bilingual IB Diploma, a special recognition of the amazing language skills of IB students who study Language A in a language other than English, and study other subjects in English. Most importantly, their successful individual results mean our students have met requirements for their offers and are now making final choices of which offer to accept.

Offers that our students have received include UCL, the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, University of Arizona, George Washington University (ED) and Newcastle University.

Once more, let’s congratulate those students who performed admirably in the IBDP examination!

For the time being, our IB scholarship program is still open to students who move to Grade 10 or Grade 11 in September 2019 and September 2020, offering up to 50% of the annual tuition fee.  Once confirmed, the scholarship will continue to be awarded until the students graduate from high school.
