It has been another busy week at NACIS and it has been nice to have the warmer sunny weather back.
Good News from Class of 2021
Our Grade 12 student Jack has received an offer to study Management at the University of California – Riverside. A university ranked 88th Globally, Jack continues our trend of offers from the top 100 globally ranked Universities. Well done Jack and all our grade 12 students!
Our Grade 9 students started on their IGCSE courses this week. For those parents whose children are not in Grade 9 these are UK based qualifications that are taken before a student starts the IBDP. It is a course I have run in each of my previous schools and it provides a rigorous curriculum and is an excellent preparation for the demands of the IB Diploma. Full details for Grade 8 and all other parents will be available shortly.
We have continued to host a number of university visitors, either virtually or in person if they have representatives in China. Last week it was the world famous hotel management school – Les Roches, from Switzerland.
The project Bilingual Book Writers has been shared over previous weeks – if you haven’t yet given it a go, then the weekend gives you the perfect chance to showcase your bilingual writing skills!
Yolanda is reading from the book she wrote while school was happening at home.
NACIS Bilingual Symposium

Our key note speaker, Professor Zhao gave a very powerful presentation on the need for education to build the skills needed to thrive in the world of work. He noted the fast changing nature of the world and how students must be ready with the skills to cope with this.
