Kate Cui

Kate

Chinese Head of Secondary

In the past 20 years, Ms. Kate Cui has been Vice President of YuanBo Education Group responsible for international education business, Head of Education Department of Shanghai Dongding Group and Vice Principal as well as Head of Education Research Institute of The Second Foreign Language School Affiliated to Shanghai Normal University. During her tenure in The Second Foreign Language School Affiliated to Shanghai Normal University, Ms. Cui was responsible for the preparation and establishment of the Cambridge Bilingual Department, the IB certification and the school’s teaching management as a core member. She has extensive experience in international teaching, IB teaching and management.
In the years of school management, Ms. Cui feels that the relationship between teachers and students should not be limited to one-way knowledge transmission. It should be a communicative relationship for teachers and students to interact and learn from each other. The school should do its best to create a comprehensive and high-quality platform to form a learning community in which teachers and students are enabled to learn together, encourage each other, and grow up together.

Ms. Cui holds master’s degrees in linguistics and business administration. She once went to The University of Sheffield as a visiting scholar. She holds IB PYP and MYP education management training certificates as well as a World Citizen Education training certificate of Harvard Graduate School of Education. She also attended bilingual teaching training at La Trobe University in Australia.

Ms. Cui enjoys communicating with students. She is good at discovering students’ shining points, guiding them and stimulating their drive for knowledge. With her help, students can become real and better selves. Ms. Cui believes that it takes a hundred year to cultivate a person. Education is a slow process in which parents and teachers are required to constantly create a stage for children to exert their energy and talents to their heart's content, and let every child follow their unique growth path to find a better self.
