Kris Li

Acting Head of Primary National

Before joining NACIS Shanghai, Li Dong worked in a school with a history of 100 years in the center of Shanghai. He participated in the national quality class competition on behalf of the school and won the first prize. As one of the first group of teachers who participated in “Exchange Program Between Chinese and British Mathematics Teachers”, he went to the UK twice for teaching and exchange and accepted several media interviews including TES, BBC and China Daily etc. He also participated in the interview on behalf of Chinese teachers at the national seminar held in Birmingham.

As one of the founding staff of NACIS Shanghai, Mr. Kris leads the team to design and implement the primary mathematics curriculum, explore personalized and interdisciplinary teaching and learning, stimulate children's learning interest and cultivate their active exploration ability. He always believes that it is more important to cultivate thinking ability and lead students to feel the charm and fun of thinking in the conversation than learning subject knowledge. He also believes that educators should seize educational opportunities to stimulate students' creativity and help them develop their potential to become better themselves and create a better future.
