My teaching career started in London where I taught English language and literature at secondary level. I was promoted through various coordinator roles to Head of Department before taking a curriculum coordinator role widening my leadership responsibility to all subject areas. My first international leadership position was in Egypt as the Deputy Head of School in charge of curriculum before moving to Qatar to take the role of Head of Learning and Vice Principal of Nord Anglia International School Al Khor.
As I move from Qatar to China, I am looking forward to my role as Director of Studies at Nord Anglia Chinese International School. I am passionate about learning and creating an environment in which both teachers, students and parents can strive to be personally, socially and academically ambitious. I find my role of designing and implementing creative curriculums very rewarding and the outstanding academic teams that I have led in the past, will give me the experience to continue to recruit inspirational teachers and lead them in delivering the progressive blended bilingual curriculum that we offer at NACIS Shanghai.
Being a Nord Anglia school offers our students proven global opportunities that cannot be matched by any other school. Being a multilinguist and a global citizen, my experiences have shaped how I approach education. This multifaceted approach to learning that we deliver at NACIS, encourages our students to be critical and creative thinkers who are unified by our overarching philosophy of having pride and respect in everything they ambitiously strive to achieve.
