    Katherine Clare

Head of Primary & Year 5 Class Teacher

    Katherine Clare

I graduated from the University of Derby in 2004 with a Batchelor of Education in Primary teaching and have ten years of successful and dynamic classroom teaching across a range of ages and abilities.  After leaving university, I taught at a lovely school in Watford for nine years where I was able to develop as an educator and build great relationships with the pupils and families attending the school.  As I developed my skills as a teacher I was given more responsibility and was asked to become part of the Senior Leadership Team.  After completing a masters level course to become a maths specialist teacher, and as an outstanding practitioner,  I was asked to work part time as a seconded maths teaching and learning advisor for the Local Education Authority.  My most recent post was in a private school in Buckinghamshire, which was a fantastic experience in an incredible school.

I truly love my job.  I am excited to join Nord Anglia Education as I want to be part of an education system which is completely child centred and focuses fully on the learning and enables children to develop fully.  I want to provide an education which builds knowledge, provides exceptional experiences, develops confidences and responsibilities and enable children to become independent learners and thinkers.

  • Molly Moffat

    Molly Moffat

Year 2 Teacher & Juilliard Dance Lead

    Molly Moffat

My name is Molly Moffat and I have a passion for teaching Key Stage 1 students. I began my journey to becoming a teacher at a small, private college in Minnesota, St. Olaf College. There I studied for a bachelor’s degree in Dance with a minor in Environmental Studies. From there I made a big move overseas to study for a master’s degree in English Literature at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. During that time, I volunteered at many local schools as a teaching assistant and a soccer coach. That’s when I made the decision to study for my Post Graduate Certificate of Education at Exeter University. I then went on to teach at Hillyfield Primary Academy in London, teaching in Year 1 and Year 2. During my time at that school, I completed an Outstanding teacher training course, was the leader for Special Educational Needs learning in Year 1 and was a coach in the Improving Teacher program. I also started a cheerleading program, the school’s first, and started directing school plays.

I joined the British International School of Charlotte in 2013 as a Year 1 and 2 class teacher and have come to love working for the Nord Anglia family. During my time in Charlotte, I attended training at MIT help develop STEAM learning throughout the school. I really love the STEAM approach to learning and how it links subjects like Science, Art and Technology to provide cross-curricular learning experiences that are creative, engaging and memorable. I also attended training at The Juilliard School in preparation for developing and implementing the Juilliard curriculum for Dance at the Nord Anglia International School in New York. I also love all things theatrical, and have enjoyed developing and directing school plays for the younger-aged children at my school, with the Gruffalo Play being my absolute favorite!

    Gabrielle Wright

    Year 1 Teacher

    Gabrielle Wright

I grew up in North West London and, after completing my PGCE, spent 5 years teaching in a state school in North London.  From an early age I appreciated and understood the work of a teacher, several members of my family are educators and teachers, and this environment gave me a wonderful insight into the teaching world, and showed me how rewarding it can be as a career.  My work in Tottenham was highly rewarding, working with children with Special Educational Needs, children who were new to English and were from a variety of backgrounds.

During my gap year I spent 3 months in New York and I have wanted to return to live ever since.  The opportunity to work at NAISNY was sudden and unexpected, but it is incredibly exciting to be working at such a creative and innovative school where learning is so personalised for the child, and there is such freedom to follow the interests of the children in my class.
