THE MET

OUR HISTORY AS AN IB WORLD SCHOOL

The MET was founded in 2011 by a collection of parents who established a new standard of high-quality private school education in Panama that would become a reference of excellence in the region, guided by the very best teaching and learning practices in the world. By welcoming students and families from many different parts of the world, the MET creates an environment where every child feels included, happy, and inspired to learn.

Within its first three years, the MET was accredited as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, part of a worldwide community of international schools with an excellent reputation for delivering the gold standard in education. The MET became the first and only school in Panama and across Central America to offer the IB in English, which includes the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).

Since then, we’ve moved to our five-hectare, purpose-built campus in Green Valley, we’ve continued to celebrate our success as an IB school, delivering excellent results over the past 12 years.

A FIRST-RATE PANAMANIAN CAMPUS WITH A GLOBAL VISION

In 2017, the MET joined Nord Anglia Education, the world's leading international schools’ organization with a family of sister schools located in 31 countries. Together with Nord Anglia’s global family, we share a common commitment to the vision that there’s no limit to what our students can achieve.

In 2020, the MET moved to our new five-hectare campus in Green Valley in the north of Panama City, where we now offer an innovative, purpose-built school with state-of-the-art facilities that enhance our students’ learning. From our technology integration to the strategic planning of different classroom “neighborhoods," our Green Valley campus is leading the future of education in Panama.
