What I found at the MET upon visiting helped me make the decision to change schools almost instantly. Classes were no longer traditional, and instead of rote memorization, there was analysis, international mindedness, discussion, respect, and kindness – things that matter to me.

Every little encounter and experience gained at the MET has been enriching.

The MET prepared me to be a balanced and organized student. At university I see many people struggling with time management. The IB Diploma Program taught me how to organize myself to be more productive and efficient with my time. I also believe that the MET prepared me beyond the academics: it shaped me as a well-rounded person and helped me develop values and principles that are now part of my identity.

I believe that I would not even be here studying in Toronto without the help of the MET. For example, my teachers taught me different learning skills such as time management and organization during the IB program that I later realized were crucial in university.

Academically speaking, I feel the MET prepared me for college extremely well. The level of connection with the teachers provided a safe space for personal growth both academically and personally - one of the biggest factors in my own successes since I've graduated. All of the teachers cared deeply about us as individuals and as students, which made the learning process much more enjoyable as it catered to how I learn and pushed me to grow in the areas that I needed to work on.

I have had the privilege of attending this school from the beginning, seven years ago, when the student body barely filled two floors. From that day, the MET has grown by leaps and bounds and has continued to provide students with endless learning opportunities, and the ability to apply the Learner Profile attributes seamlessly in our lives.
