Cynthia Kennaugh

Head of Drama

Cindy grew up abroad living in Africa, Europe, US and Asia, graduating from the Singapore American School.  She started her career in education at the International School of Geneva, La Chataigneraie teaching Performing Arts.  She then worked at Escuela Campo Alegre and American International School in Caracas, Venezuela where she managed the 630 seat theatre facility and was head of the Fine Arts Department.

During her ten years at the school Cindy taught every grade level and a variety of classes ranging from IB Theatre to film production and Design and Technical theatre.  Prior to joining the English International School Prague, Cindy worked at Windermere Preparatory School in Florida for seven years teaching IB French, IB Theatre Arts and Drama, IB Film and Yoga.

Cindy has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Michigan State University and a Masters in International School’s Administration from the College of New Jersey in addition to having completed the Principal’s Training Center certification.  

Cindy is passionate about theatre and have directed over 100 school productions and attended many IB and ISTA conferences, as well as, Thespian competitions with her students over the years.  She loves community theatre and founded he Caracas Amateur Theatre, in Venezuela where she produced, directed and acted in productions. In Florida, Cindy performed and worked backstage on numerous productions at Osceola Arts as well as teaching Yoga at the YMCA and Valencia College.
