Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies

Year Four students wowed audiences with their hilarious, exciting and memorable production, based on the popular ‘Robin Hood’ story. The pupils, aided by a fantastic backdrop and props transported their audience back in time to medieval England.

Throughout all the performances, audiences laughed in delight at the well-executed jokes. After each performance, discussions could be heard amongst theatregoers regarding which particular joke from the show was their favourite.

Students displayed acting skills beyond their years to deliver jokes to a truly international audience. The young actors’ improvisation skills also highlighted how confident and natural they are on stage.

The children’s singing was particularly impressive and the excellent work that our new Music Teacher Miss Harbuck has done with our students was clear for all to see. The children’s passionate singing rubbed off on their audiences who joined in with the show’s catchy songs.

The costumes on show were fantastic and added another element to the already well-rounded production. Combined with the beautiful backdrops, props, lighting and hanging garlands, the audience could have been forgiven for feeling that they were actually in the real Sherwood Forest.

The performances of ‘Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies’ will live long in the memory of all those lucky to be present.
