Spring Concert and Recital Review

Spring Concert and Recital Review-spring-concert-and-recital-review-IMG_5438
Spring Concert and Recital Review We are extremely proud to present our annual Spring Concert and Recital for our Year One to Year Six students. Get the full details about the events in our latest article. A full recording of the concert is available on our Youtube channel.

Our live streamed Spring Concert was such a lovely event! The themes this time around were musicals. Seven classes sang their way through several well-known songs.

Our Upper Campus students recorded videos of “Memories from Cats” (keyboards) and “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music (violins and guitars). Year One sang the “Do Re Mi” song from the Sound of Music, whilst Year Two’s were “Off To See the Wizard”. They loved the song so much that I could hear them sing it all over the school. Year Three sang “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat” (The Aristocrats), whilst Year Four sang “Let’s Go Fly A Kite” (Mary Poppins). Year Five performed “Good Morning from Singing In The Rain” and Year 6, with Bogdan Kvachyov in the role of Joseph, sang “Any Dream Will Do” from Joseph and the “Technicoloured Dreamcoat”. Reception sang a song about being able to do anything called “Yes I Can”. It was lovely to see the Primary Instrumental Programme (PIPs) back on the school’s agenda and for it to be executed. Both groups played with joy and panache.

All in all, a fantastic concert to restart our live concerts.

Spring Recital

Although we had quite a small Spring Recital this year, the standard was excellent. The students performed exceptionally well, with many using the recital to prepare for their music exams. Our youngest student from Year Two sang “Edelweiss” and played “Parson’s Farewell” on the piano. Whilst our oldest Year 6 students played on drums, trumpet, piano and sang songs. This concert showcased just how much Rosinka values and gives students the opportunity to learn a diverse range of instruments throughout their primary school years. A fantastic concert, well done to everyone that took part!
