Through my career, I have had the privilege of engaging with students from all over the world while working for some of the oldest and most prestigious Univeristies in the United Kingdom.
I have been fortunate to experience the wonderful array of cultures and backgrounds that come together within an academic environment that has allowed education to evolve beyond the text books, developing and forging the ideas that serve to enhance our daily lives. History serves as the evidence of what can be checked through learning and collaboration.
Teaching a person not just to learn, but to think and develop their own ideas and thoughts is one of education's greatest opportunities. As Voltaire wrote: "Judge a man by his questions not his answers."
Seeing a student’s personal development from their first enrolment, to watching them cross the stage at graduation has always been the most rewarding part of my career. This is a reward that I am sure will continue with ISM.
I am an avid follower of F1 and a passionate supporter of Rugby Union, especially when the national team play.
