Year 11 Leader and Extended Essay Supervisor
Anna studied English Language and Literature at Oxford University and subsequently completed her PGCE teaching qualification at Cambridge University. Since then, she has taught in London schools for 11 years, holding positions including Head of English and Senior Academic Mentor for the sixth form at a large and challenging school in south-east London. NAIS Pudong is Anna’s first international school and she is very much enjoying the exciting new opportunities offered by the school, and working with such enthusiastic and positive students.
Anna is a keen singer and particularly enjoys classical choral singing; having performed in choirs since the age of 11, she is delighted to have recently joined the Shanghai International Choral League and to be singing in a performance of Handel’s Messiah. Anna also very much enjoys cooking and swimming and is looking forward to her wedding in the UK in August 2016, and to confusing the students and staff by returning next year as Mrs Whiteson!
