    Lucy Ellen Marshall

Year 4 Teacher and Assistant Head of Primary

    Lucy Ellen Marshall

Lucy was born and grew up in Manchester, North West England. In 2011 Lucy graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA in Primary Education. She spent the first five years of her teaching career working in two culturally diverse schools in inner-city Manchester. Working at NAIS Pudong was Lucy’s very first international school experience. She is looking forward to her third year at NAIS.

Lucy has primarily worked in Key Stage Two and after two years was successful in being appointed as Key Stage 2 Leader. During her fifth teaching year Lucy was promoted to being Assistant Headteacher with school wide responsibility for assessment, English as an Additional Language and International New Arrivals. Lucy’s experience so far has enabled her to work with students from many different backgrounds and cultures, something she is excited to be able to continue to do in an international setting.

  • Snow Pamela Staff

    Pamela Snow

    Year 5 Class Teacher

    Pamela Snow

After gaining an English language teaching qualification, Pam started her career in Turkey, where she taught English to Turkish children and adults for 3 years.  This gave her the inspiration to gain her primary teaching degree.  She achieved a BA QTS at Canterbury Christchurch University in 2002.  Pam went on to teach for over 12 years in the UK.  She taught across the whole of the primary age range, but mostly with Lower KS2 classes at both good and outstanding schools.  While teaching in the UK, she took on the roles of DT, Science, and ICT Co-ordinator.  Pam joined NAIS Pudong in August 2015 as a Year 4 teacher.  On top of her teaching role, she has also co-ordinated the Student Leadership, which includes School Council Representatives, Play Pals and Lunch-time Club leaders.  Pam really loves being in Shanghai and has felt warmly welcomed by staff, parents and children.

  • Kerem Hussein

    Kerem Hussein

    Year 4 Class Teacher

    Kerem Hussein

Kerem undertook his BA Hons degree in Primary Education at Bishop Grosseteste University where he achieved a First-Class Honours award and was presented with the Chancellor and University Council award for academic excellence. During this time, he developed a wide understanding of teaching philosophies, pedagogies and educational research while experiencing a varied range of educational settings including small village schools, large inner-city multicultural settings and even an opportunity to undertake teaching opportunities in the care home system of the Transylvanian region of Romania.

After completing his degree, Kerem moved back to his home county of Norfolk where he has taught for the past three years. He continued to undertake further professional development and responsibilities which enabled him to successfully create and develop an effective and practical profile of science as part of his Science Co-ordinator role at his most recent post. He has been passionately motivated to develop and apply his skills in an international setting and was driven to pursue an opportunity at a school as highly regarded and respected as NAIS Pudong.
