As well as dressing up in period costumes, the children were able to enjoy a range of activities that celebrated the exciting learning they have done this term.
They practiced code breaking, lino printing, documentary making, constructing machines to fire projectiles, and were able to review their knowledge of the key dates of the war.
Finally, the students were delighted to invite their parents into school so that they could share some of what they had learned and teach their parents some of the skills they had mastered.
It was a wonderful day that culminated in some delightful conversations between children and parents where their love of learning and their enthusiasm for the topic was evident.
A selection of photos taken on the day can be viewed on our website here.
I think you will agree that the staff costumes were pretty remarkable too!
