Health is an important part of your child’s development. Sport, both as part of the curriculum or as after school activities, has an important role to play.
At Dover Court International School we encourage the development of the whole child. As well as educating them in the classroom, we want to instil in them the value of living healthily in all aspects of their life. With this in mind, we provide a range of sporting activities as part of the curriculum and as after school sports programs.
Sport for all
Every child has a different preference when it comes to physical activity. We want to ensure that all our students enjoy the sports they participate in, so we provide a wide range of school sports activities at different levels. All children are welcome to take part in any of the sports available, which include cricket, soccer, swimming, running, basketball, tennis and more.
Competitive sport
Dover Court students compete with other Singapore schools in a variety of competitions. In recent years our teams have competed successfully in inter-school tournaments.
Compulsory physical education
As well as encouraging students to participate in after school activities, our curriculum includes compulsory physical education for all children.
After school sports programs
Teachers at Dover Court are dedicated to providing children with after school activities to build their team-working and co-operation skills - as well as encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Current after school sports programs change over the course of the year and include but are not limited to:
- Football
