Day 2 was another action-packed day here for our four DCIS students at MIT! After a big breakfast, we made our way to Johnson Ice Rink for a demonstration from the MIT Fencing Team. With make-shift swords and hand-made bows and arrows (all made by themselves!), all the children the attended Pirate Training Camp with great enthusiasm. [VIDEO]

Afterwards, they rotated around a circuit of three activities: the electronics of fencing with swords, the science of archery and making a portable vacuum.

Each activity was coordinated by MIT university students, and our pupils had a chance to ask them questions and find out what it's like to attend MIT.

We had our lunch at Fariborz Maseeh Hall, an undergraduate dorm on West Campus and the largest undergraduate dorm at MIT.

We then headed to Simmons Hall (AKA the Waffle Building) for the Science Trivia Challenge! A great day was had by all.

Until tomorrow,
