EAL Strategies for Parents

During yesterday's parent workshop the DCIS English as an Additional Language team talked about strategies for EAL parents. 

Our Deputy Head of Inclusion, Mr. Marshall and our Primary and Secondary EAL leaders Ms Hay and Ms Harvey talked about how we assess the students' level of English and how the levels are defined,  e.g. what makes A1, A2, etc.

The EAL leaders also shared some ideas and tools that are useful in the support of children who are enroled in our EAL programme.  Please find a pdf-file with the strategies attached below.
