The session served as an opportunity for parents to meet the food service crew, interact with Sodexo’s nutritionists and receive healthy eating tips for their children. Sodexo’s nutritionists started the session by sharing a presentation on ‘Brain Friendly Foods’. This was followed by a healthy snack demonstration by Chef Verdick who created a popular and simple homemade Granola Snack Bar.
Parents also had the opportunity to try the spread put on by Sodexo, which consisted of mini snacks and pastries such as ‘Beetroot Bun Sliders, ‘Quinoa Yoghurt Muesli’ and ‘Red Velvet Cake’, all homemade with whole grains, as they chatted with the Sodexo crew and one another. DCIS Principal, Mr. Christopher Short also paid a visit to the session. The coffee morning was a great success with parents getting some new ideas and recipes whilst giving Sodexo some valuable feedback.
