Bronze for DCIS Under 11 Rugby Team

The Under 11 Division 1 Rugby Playoff Finals took place on Thursday 24th May.

The semi-final match was against the undefeated DCSG 1st team. The DCIS team got off to a slow start and conceded early on in the game, however after dominating much of the possession were rewarded with a brilliant try to trail by one at half time. Early in the first half, after some slick hands, DCIS drew level only for DCSG to snatch victory in the last minute of the game with 2 quick tries leaving the final score 20-10.

Despite the loss we were placed through to the third-place playoff against TTS. In spite of another slow start from the team conceding early on, the players managed to regroup and started to play some amazing rugby, scoring two tries in either half to TTS’s one. The final score finished 20-5, meaning the DCIS team took bronze and claim to the 3rd place in Division 1.
