I am a Year 13 and second year IB student, this is my second year at Dover Court.  I enjoy the small size of DCIS and how strong and close of a community the school is. My favourite subject is Language and Literature, which I take at Higher Level. I love it because both the Language and Literature components of the course encourage you to make connections across texts and are heavily grounded in socio-cultural context, which provides us with a more holistic understanding of the subject. 

The ESS research trip to Tioman was one of my favourite experiences as it allowed me to apply all the theoretical knowledge I had acquired in this class and conduct an investigation on a notoriously ecologically valuable site. While I don’t have a perfectly clear trajectory yet, I do know that I want to be involved in the field of linguistics and will definitely pursue that for my degree.
