Craig joined Dover Court International School from The Skinners’ Kent Academy where he was Vice Principal. Craig has been a Senior Leader in two all ability non-selective schools in the selective county of Kent, both of which were awarded ‘Outstanding’ school status by Ofsted. Craig has worked in schools that have embraced an international outlook and ethos embodied by the International Baccalaureate programme.
Craig was part of the Senior Leadership team that grew his most recent school from 300 students to over 1000 and opened The Skinners’ Kent Primary School to become an all through school. The school was also the first school in the world to achieve IB World School status running the PYP, MYP and IBCP (The IB Career-related Programme) programmes. It was consistently in the Top 5% of schools in England for value added and in the top 1 and 2% of schools in the country for English and Maths results respectively.
Craig has experience in leading both pastoral and academic priorities including, Special Educational Needs, Teaching and Learning, cross Key Stage transition and Curriculum Planning and being a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
He has worked with a variety of schools and staff as a ‘Specialist Leader of Education’ for the National College for School Leadership (NCSL) where he led the ‘Improving Teacher’ and ‘Outstanding Teacher’ Programmes. He is also a regular guest speaker at The University of Brighton, Apple and Google.
Throughout Craig’s career, he has travelled the world and is passionate about students being global citizens themselves. He has led trips for students from skiing in Austria and Switzerland to Sports Festivals in Thailand and Beijing. Craig is a proud Husband and Daddy to two children. Away from education, Craig is a keen sportsman, enjoying a number of sports but particularly football, Muay Thai and running. Craig has previously run the London Marathon, raising over £3000 for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
