Staff Profile: Nikoletta Mappouridou

Nikoletta Mappouridou

Speech and Language Therapist

Originally from Cyprus, Nikoletta graduated from the University of Patra, Greece, with a Bachelor degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

Nikoletta has joined Dover Court International School after running her own therapy center in Cyprus and working in a private centre in Singapore.

As a speech and language pathologist, Nikoletta worked with children with a variety of communication disorders, including those with articulation difficulties, delayed receptive and expressive language development. She has a special interest and extensive experience in working with children with autism spectrum disorder, with childhood apraxia of speech, and she also has a great interest in feeding support.

Nikoletta believes in a multidisciplinary approach and she works closely with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, as well as parents. She keeps abreast with all the updates in the field by following up seminars and attending approved courses.

Other than being a speech therapist, Nikoletta enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures and tasting different food with her husband and little boy. Also, she loves cooking, gardening and jewelry making.
