Emily has an MA (Hons) in History of Art and English Literature from The University of Edinburgh. Before teaching, she spent fifteen years working in the London art market; at Sotheby’s auction house, in a gallery and then curating a private art collection.
Emily believes that creativity is at the heart of independent thinking and that nurturing our naturally imaginative minds, leads us to be inspired, successful and fulfilled individuals. In her experience, the cloase-knit community at Dover Court supports creative, collaborative learning.
Emily's husband works in the city and she has a young son and a scruffy Border Terrier dog.
In her free time, she enjoys writing art-historical fiction and is a volunteer Docent Guide at Singapore Art Museum.
