Staff Profile: Joanna Fairchild

Joanna Fairchild

Pathway 3 Teacher and English Specialist

Joanna graduated from The University of Lincoln with BA Honors in Media Production and completed a PGCE in Primary Education at the Billericay Educational Consortium and Open University.

Originally from Essex, she moved to Lincoln to complete a BA Honours degree in Media Production.  This built a love of creative arts which has continued throughout her teaching career. The first 3 years of Joanna’s career were spent in Essex.  Following this, she moved to teach in Dubai, UAE.  Teaching in the Middle East for three years was a fantastic opportunity in a multicultural, and forward thinking environment. Joanna has a real passion for performing arts and, with a solid background in the arts, she enjoys getting involved whenever possible to contribute to productions and creative learning.

When not working, Joanna loves to listen to music and spend time with friends. She enjoys keeping fit, specifically doing as much Cuban salsa dancing as possible and is a keen swimmer. Joanna loves to scuba dive and travel whenever she gets a chance, and has an extensive list of places and exciting dive spots she can’t wait to explore during her time here in Singapore.
