Staff Profile: Jessica Ripper

Jessica Ripper

Year 3 Class Teacher (3JR)

Jessica gained her teaching qualification at Manchester Metropolitan University in England, where she studied Primary Education for 4 years, specialising in Drama and Art.

Having been educated herself at an international school in Singapore, Jessica was always keen to return to teach here. Prior to returning to Singapore, she taught Year 6 in a large inner city school in Manchester where she was also Year 6 Leader. Here she took on the role of Assessment Coordinator across KS2, Gifted and Talented Coordinator and also worked with the SEN team, implementing interventions across the school for children with social and emotional needs.

Jessica is a vibrant and enthusiastic teacher who holds creativity at the heart of all her teaching. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that children develop the same love for learning that she gained during her own time at an international school. Jessica is passionate about drama and, as well as incorporating this into her teaching, has used her expertise to write and direct performances.

Outside of school, Jessica maintains an active lifestyle involving herself in many different activities such as running, tennis and weight lifting. She also loves to visit the theatre, taking full advantage of the wonderful performances that Singapore has to offer.
