Staff Profile: Reena Digpal

Reena Digpal

Year 4 Class Teacher (4RD)

Reena gained her teaching qualification at the Nottingham Trent University, England, where she acquired her PGCE. Prior to this, she studied a 3 year degree in Psychology.

Prior to joining DCIS Reena taught at a school in England for three years.  During her time in England she took on many different roles; these included coordinating Design Technology across the school, incorporating the ‘food for life’ programme which predominantly focuses on healthy eating, cooking and growing food, and leading after school activities which included tennis and Bollywood dancing. She found her role as Design Technology Coordinator particularly enjoyable as she loves to explore her creative side.

Having studied psychology, Reena appreciates the different ways in which children learn. She finds this incredibly fascinating and this is what motivates her to teach. She enjoys discovering different approaches to teaching and learning.

Reena enjoys travelling and visiting new places. Her hobbies include tennis, dancing and running. She loves experiencing different cultures and is delighted to have the opportunity to experience this with all Singapore’s wonderful neighbouring countries, not to mention Singapore itself!
