Originally from Lancashire in the UK, Rachael’s first four years of teaching were spent in West London, and since then she has enjoyed teaching in Singapore.
Whilst studying, Rachael also was a member of the university netball team and social secretary for her university college. Having enjoyed several primary school placements throughout her college and university life, Rachael then moved down to Winchester to complete her PCGE in Primary Teaching which she passed with Masters Credits.
During her time in London, Rachael has taught Years 4, 5 and 6, as well as coordinating the library and leading both the school netball and cross country teams. Keen to bring her love of sport to her school, she was promoted to leader of learning for PE, developing new PE teaching strategies and increasing school participation in after school sports clubs and competitions.
Out of school, Rachael is a keen runner, having completed multiple half marathons, a series of Tough Mudder events and the London Marathon. Rachael is also an avid traveler having spent several summers in Europe and South East Asia, and has enjoyed being able to explore more of this part of the world.
