Community Club Parties

27 November 2015

This has been the final week our Community Partners will join our clubs for this term...

Several clubs took this opportunity to have a party to celebrate the fun they’ve had and the new friendships they’ve formed.  Have a look at some of the excitement the children enjoyed in our Community Clubs:

“Chess club this term has been incredible! Children from BIS have learnt to play chess alongside their new friends from Binh Trieu. Week by week, piece by piece, all of the children learnt the rules and skills of the game. By the final week of the community club, the children were all able to play one another and some even claim to have beaten Mr David!”   -- Mr David

“At the Card Games party, the kids were very excited to have a large platter of cake. There was so much cake that the 12 students couldn’t finish it all. Luckily the BIS children were very gracious and told the Bien Trieu children to take the rest home, along with all the fruit. The local children were very grateful and appreciative, but that attitude didn’t stop them from trying to win their card games. All of the children really enjoyed playing group card games, especially when the teachers lost.”  -- Mr Charles

"We have loved Lego club this term with our community partners from Binh Loi. It's been fantastic to work together each week to create different lego models. Some of the ideas have been amazing! Our final week with our partners was fun and we enjoyed our cake and fruit!" -- Ms Dee
