Year 4 compete in Amazing Race Asia!

10 February 2015

Amazing Race Asia comes to Ho Chi Minh City!

Over the week beginning the 10

of November 2014 the pupils of Year 4 journeyed off to distant District 1, HCMC in search of the ultimate prize at the end of their own Amazing Race. This adventure formed the exit point of the recently completed IPC unit, ‘Adventurers and Explorers’.

Split over two days, and divided into small groups the teams completed challenges before they got to their ultimate destination… Haagen Daz Ice Cream Restaurant. Now that was a prize worth searching for!

The pupils set off excitedly from the 6 different starting points with their teacher and parent helpers trying their best to keep up. Teams worked together incredibly well and were seen at many points along the way in deep conversation about which route would best suit the needs of the group.

All groups performed incredibly well and passed their challenges with ease. Is that what the lure of ice-cream does? The pupils enjoyed their choice of flavour and relaxed with the knowledge that they had just won their very own version of ‘The Amazing Race’. Everyone had a fabulous time and we are all now feeling a little more ‘Adventurous’ thanks to that IPC unit!
