Understanding 'Light' Through an Eye Dissection Demonstration

26 September 2017

On Monday, Mrs. Bee Smith, an APS Science teacher, came over to perform an eye dissection as part of our ‘Light’ topic. This opportunity allowed a tangible moment for the children to apply theoretical learning to a real-life example.

The children were wowed by how complex the eye structure is and how the cleverness of the design allows us to sense the world around us. We hope that there were some budding biologists of the future in the audience, inspired by what they saw. A huge thank you to Mrs. Smith for making the time to come over.
