‘Read a New Book Month’ at the Curve 01/10/2018

Although September’s ‘Read A New Book Month’ has now drawn to a close, and our final teacher book reviews have been uploaded, much happened in the Curve last week.

Our lunchtime CCA reading groups, The Great Reading Race, Sci-Fi club, and the Feminist Literature discussion group to name but a few, are now all up and running. We’ve also had the whole of Y12 in the Curve developing citation and referencing skills as part of their IB Transition Skills programme, and then, to end, we held our first Acoustic Live Lounge during lunchtime on Friday, with performances from so many students across all of year groups - such amazing performances and a wonderful atmosphere to finish off such an incredibly diverse week of activity.

Looking forward to this week, the first BIS Secondary Book Fair is taking place on the Undercroft each day and there will be an absolute array of books, both fiction and non-fiction, to browse, purchase and take home to be read at your leisure. So, please come along between 7.30 - 4.30 each day to take a look at what’s on offer.
