Thomas Thurston - Drama Teacher | BIS HCMC

Drama Teacher/ Head of Wellbeing

BA (Hons) Primary Education (QTS) Specialising in Drama in Education, St. Martin’s College (University of Lancaster), UK

Thomas graduated with a BA (Hons) in Education with Drama from St. Martin’s College and a MEd in Pastoral Care, Guidance and Pupil Support from the University of Aberdeen.  He joins BIS having spent the last 13 years teaching Drama and Theatre in international schools in Cairo and Dubai.  Thomas has worked across Primary and Secondary education and is an experienced Head of Department and Head of Key Stage - he is passionate about the holistic education of his students.

Throughout his career Thomas has written, directed and produced a variety of diverse theatre with young people.  He came into education after spending his early years working in theatre and training at The BRIT School and LAMDA.  Thomas is passionate about inspiring creativity and expression in his students and is exceptionally proud of those who have gone on to train and work in the theatre and related industries.
