Tanzania 2014 Reflections

11 April 2014

This year 105 students and 21 staff from 18 Nord Anglia Education schools from 11 countries had a once in a lifetime experience in Tanzania. Six students represented The British School, Warsaw and have written blogs about their unique experiences.

While in Tanzania the Global Classmates were serving the local community by getting involved in a renovation project and teaching children at a local school. They also experienced different aspects of Tanzanian culture as they went to the spice markets of Zanzibar or the Safari.

Take a look ate the Reflections from the Global Classroom video here:

"The Tanzania Global Classroom Expedition was an incredible experience and I am sure that it is a trip that I will never forget. It was great to meet so many other Nord Anglia students from across the world and spend 9 days there filled with exciting activities. Whilst teaching and renovating the local Maua Primary School, we had the chance to witness first-hand poverty and gain an appreciation for the life we have in Warsaw, noticing all the things we take for granted on a daily basis. We met so many happy, open and enthusiastic Tanzanian people who, although have so little, are still satisfied and content with their lives. We were introduced to the Tanzanian culture and explored the vast wildlife whilst on a safari."
