It has been a fantastic start to the year. We have been having so much fun in the first two weeks - learning about our bodies and about our feelings!
We know a lot about our body parts, we know that we have one nose and one head, but two eyes, two legs and two arms. We have even tried to count to ten on our fingers and toes!
We have been looking at differences between people, the colour of their hair and their eyes. We have created beautiful self-portraits and had a go at painting, drawing, cutting and sticking. We compared our family photos and talked about our family members.
We have enjoyed playing “Simon says” and acting out different verbs like “jump”, “walk” or “stand on one leg”.
We have been learning lots of new songs and playing musical instruments, making loud and soft sounds.
In the playground we have been swinging and climbing. We have been pretending we are pirates looking for buried treasure in the sand.
Although it is still not very easy to say “goodbye” to mummy or daddy in the morning, we are slowly getting used to the routines. We have made many new friends in the first two weeks at school and we will carry on having fun and playing together.
We are looking forward to a very happy and fun year, with lots of celebrations and events.
Kind regards,
Agnieszka Langley
