Building a cohesive school community with our diverse student body and inclusive admission policy does not just happen by itself. During the Key Stage 3 and 4 assemblies this week, the students were reminded about our four key values of Respect, Honesty, Diversity and Community.
We are proud of our 61 different nationalities at the school and would like this number to continue to grow. However, to ensure that we are all able to work and play together, the students were reminded about the importance of using our common language at the school.
A rich international education goes beyond the classroom and a common language makes is easier for children entering the school to form friendship groups. It enriches the lives of our established students and opens their eyes to different ideas and beliefs.
Our students were reminded that using a language everyone understands is respectful and inclusive. It helps everyone feel a part of the whole and helps make us a cohesive but diverse, open-minded community.
