Kangaroo Maths Competition

In June, some of our Primary children, in Years 3 to 6, took part in the Kangaroo Maths Competition.

The competition focuses on applying a range of mathematical skills in word and picture problem solving activities. This year, the competition was run online and only in the Polish language so the children had to show amazing adaptability to take part.

I would like to say a HUGE well done to all of those children who took part and showed fantastic resilience in the unusual circumstances of the test. I am very pleased to congratulate and share the names of the children who achieved the special 'Wyroznienie' certificate for scoring especially high marks in the test!

I look forward to the competition again this summer and, hopefully, running it in school as we normally would. This is a challenge to all the potential outstanding mathematicians we have in school - start listening and learning everything you can in class now!

Our students also shared their thoughts about the competition:

‘I like the Kangaroo Maths Competition because it has a lot of fun maths tests.’

‘I enjoyed the online maths competition because I am shy and nobody could see me. It was fun.’

‘I like to solve maths problems.’
