Our recreational sport activities allow for students to experience new sports, develop skills to progress into competitive squads or simply to socialise with different people and be physically active. There are a wide range of activities students can take part in ranging from fencing to martial arts or football to table tennis. There are different activities available at different stages throughout the year and some of the activities make the most of the amazing external sporting facilities Warsaw has to offer as well as our own on-site facilities.
We run competitive sports programmes with regular training sessions in basketball, volleyball and football. Between our superb PE teachers and supported by expert, highly qualified coaches, students are exposed to a high-quality programme with training sessions taking place largely after school. We compete in friendly fixtures locally as well as in pre organised tournaments arranged by different sporting organisations identified below.
District and City-wide competitions
There are a number of competitions in a huge range of sports that we enter allowing students to initially compete against other Polish schools in the Mokotow district. Those teams that are successful progress on to compete against the successful schools from other districts within Warsaw.
European Nord Anglia Sporting Association (ENASA)
For students from U11 to U19 age categories, there are competitive opportunities against our European Nord Anglia sister schools. These competitions generally cover basketball and football but also include Volleyball at U19 level. Providing opportunities to travel and compete as a squad and socialise with students from other Nord Anglia schools is one of the most memorable and enriching experiences for many of our athletes.
Polish Independent Schools
In 2019/20, for the first year, we are looking at developing competition with a range of Independent schools from around Poland. Schools for Wroclaw, Krakow, Gdansk as well as more locally in Warsaw will form an initial group of schools looking to develop more competitive opportunities for our students from U11 to U16.
