I have been fascinated by Economics right from my graduation so the decision to do my Masters in the subject as well. I further did my Bachelors in Education as I wanted to pursue a career in academics meeting each day with new challenges and new hopes as myriad as the number of students. I also did a diploma in computer applications and the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers course to understand the teaching demands of international education. I have served in some of the best schools across India, teaching national and international Curriculum, in various capacities as a subject coordinator, middle school coordinator, IGCSE coordinator, apart from being an econ Facilitator, Form tutor, House Master and Head of the department over the years. I feel enriched teaching the IB Econ Course through real world applications- understanding the global implications and challenges by endorsing the IB learner profile. It feels great to be teaching an informed gen-nxt, and developing a balanced, curious and reflective new world citizen!
Moving to Warsaw would be my first international assignment and I am truly looking forward to it. I have always been fond of travelling and exploring new places and cultures. India provides a lot of diversity -geographical and cultural so have explored the south along with the west and east coast as well as short vacations in the Himalayas[north]. My husband Shiv [ex-defence officer and IT personnel] and I love to trek and bicycle around as it gives a lot of freedom to explore the countryside on our terms, we intend exploring Warsaw and its lovely open spaces. My daughter is in France and works as a junior animator at Paris. We look forward to meeting her often as shifting to Warsaw bridges the distance. I am also fond of Yoga and love to go for Yoga retreats to Coimbatore or Rishikesh –the hub of Yoga, to re-energise!
