Evelina Mroczkowska

History/Geography Teacher & Head of Year 13

I completed my Bachelor of Arts, with majors in History, Geography and Political Science at Simon Fraser University. I then attended the University of British Columbia to complete my Bachelor of Education. After graduation, I joined a private school in Vancouver and taught there for three years. While there, I was the Junior Volleyball coach and closely worked with the student council. I also was the school’s Head Provincial Examiner for History.

After getting married, I decided to settle in Poland with my husband and was delighted to join The British School Warsaw to teach History and Geography. While here, I have completed my Master’s in Education through the University of Calgary, specialising in “Teaching Curriculum and Learning”.

I have now been teaching History and Geography to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 at The British School Warsaw for more than a decade. I am also the Yearbook Coordinator, Secondary House Coordinator and have also been an IB examiner for the Extended Essay and Paper 2 Exams in Geography for the past 6 years.

I believe that creating the highest quality learning means helping students achieve their full potential and improve their academic performance so that students are working to their best abilities. It is a way to encourage students to be lifelong learners and conscious about what they are learning and how it connects to their lives.
