Kari Ellis

Kari Ellis Profile

Geography and History Teacher & Assistant Head Pastoral

I received a Double Honours Degree from Trent University and obtained my Education Degree from Queen`s University, both in Canada. I recently received a Master of Science from Buffalo State University and have completed my Middle Management Course through the National College of Teachers and Nord Anglia University.

I have been teaching internationally for over 14 years and have taught on almost every continent in many different countries. Before coming to Warsaw, I taught in the Dominican Republic and was very much looking forward to moving to Europe, where it is easy to travel and where I could enjoy seasons similar to Canada’s.

I believe that in a good lesson, students should be engaged and interacting with the teacher and each other in such a way that contributes to good academic and social progress. They should be exploring new ideas and generating their own opinions using a variety of exciting resources. Students should take responsibility for their own learning and will be eager to learn more.
