The values that we hold dear in our school: Honesty, Diversity, Community & Respect, embody all that I am passionate about in education. For me, learning is holistic, lessons should be engaging, and learning should be fun. Teachers should leave each class feeling that they have ignited the curiosity of their students and the students themselves should leave feeling excited, inspired and yearning for more. To do this, a school must be a place of support and nurture, of challenge and aspiration and of cohesion and collaborative learning; something I believe is to be found here at TBS.
My degree is from Leeds University where I studied English and French. The course incorporated studying at the University of Grenoble and the Free University in Amsterdam, giving me my first taste for living overseas. I began my teaching career in early 2004 and have taught in both international and UK schools including our Nord Anglia school in Bratislava as well as selective girls’ grammar school in the UK and I have been at TBS since 20012. Life-long learning is important to me and in 2016 I completed a Masters in Education (Leadership & Management).
Before entering teaching I worked for over ten years with an international airline and have also worked in the British Embassy in Dubai and Casablanca. I have two children, love travelling and have lived in many different countries including China, Iran, UAE, Slovakia and Morocco
