Jessica Ferguson-Thomas

I was born and raised in a small village in Hampshire, in the South of England and have had a passion for teaching and learning from a young age due to my Mum also being a teacher. After gaining a degree in Sociology from Cardiff University, I went on to complete my PGCE in primary education. I was thrilled to secure a job in an outstanding primary school in Peterborough, England, where I gained invaluable teaching experience. Over the course of my teaching career I have taught in the Early Years, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.

I have spent the past five years teaching in Abu Dhabi and am now extremely excited to be a part of the team at The British School Warsaw. I have moved here with my husband, also a teacher, and my three year old daughter, Sophie. I’m looking forward to exploring Warsaw and its history and culture.

I absolutely love my job! My aim is to instil a love of learning in children, providing them with fun, creative learning experiences and supporting them in their individual development to a positive and successful future. I love the philosophy of Nord Anglia Education in that they encourage children to reach for their dreams, try something new and to be ambitious.
