Sylwia Warda

Sylwia Warda

Polish teacher

When growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher. This inspired my educational choices. I obtained my teaching degree from the University of Warsaw in 2008 and my MA in 2010. I also have a postgraduate diploma in Primary Education with a specialization in Learning Difficulties.

During my time at the university, I gained teaching experience at an international preschool in Warsaw. This was the beginning of my love for teaching in an international setting. I joined The British School Warsaw in 2012 and I have loved it since day one.

I am passionate about teaching and I like to learn about other cultures. In my lessons, I use interactive methods to activate students and enthuse them about learning. The British School is a fantastic place with wonderful and kind students, parents and staff from all over the world.

I love the outdoors. In my free time, I try to be active. Cycling, skating or walking in the woods are my favourite pastimes. During the weekend, I like to hide with my family in my granny’s cottage far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There, we can rest and recharge our batteries.

High Performance Learning

For me High Performance Learning means focus on individual talents of each student. Helping them to be the best. Being an observer and listener in the same time.

What the students say about me:

“Mrs Warda is a spectacular teacher; she gives the information in a very clear way”.

“Mrs Warda is an amazing teacher, she always makes our Polish lessons fun”.

“Mrs Warda is very kind and I really like Polish lessons because we learn interesting things and lessons are not very hard.”
