I studied Computer Science at York University and Mathematics at the Open University. In my thirties, I decided to make a career change and went to the University of Bristol to train as a Mathematics teacher. I then taught for two years in Kent, UK before joining the Nord Anglia company at their school in Shanghai. During the six years I spent there, I gradually migrated from the Mathematics department to Computer Science.
I have come to Warsaw for a new experience, and to be closer to my parents in the UK
I have lived in East Asia for about 12 years in total, roughly half of which was spent in Japan and the other half in China. My wife is from Shandong so I will always have strong links to China and we will probably return there eventually.
